STATHIS ROUKAS

Stathis Roukas is a Greek interdisciplinary artist. His work spans performance, video, installation, photography and language, exploring the performativity of the human body within physical and social contexts. Born in Athens in 1991, Roukas trained in Applied Arts and Interior Architecture before relocating to Berlin, where he currently lives and works. Roukas’s work explores themes of identity, belonging, societal expectations, desire, trauma and transcendence. Maintaining a conceptual approach, he playfully challenges the boundaries of social acceptance and questions our perceptions of reality.
