Marta Ponsa is an art historian and the head of artistic projects and cultural activities at the Jeu de Paume, where she organizes film cycles, lectures, and performances. She is also an exhibition curator, having created projects focused on European photography from the 1920s to the 1950s, as well as experimental and documentary cinema and video, and digital creations, including the online creation space at the Jeu de Paume. She regularly participates in international institutions dedicated to contemporary image and creative arts, film festivals, and educational institutions such as the École supérieur Nationale de Photographie in Arles, the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, and the University of Geneva. Her recent exhibitions include "The Supermarket of Images" with philosopher Peter Szendy; "Work in Progress: Noëlle Pujol, Ben Rivers, and Ana Vaz," the solo exhibition of artist Marine Hugonnier, and the film program of Mexican-Canadian filmmaker Nicolás Pereda. She is currently preparing an exhibition with Juliette Agnel for the Rencontres d'Arles and Arina Essipowitsch for the Château de Tours - Jeu de Paume, as well as a project focused on Chantal Akerman and her archives.
